Ola Investigating HR Head on Fraud Charges

An Ola spokesperson confirmed the development, claiming to have been investigating internally on and one cannot give further details at the moment.

Easy transportation from everywhere anywhere application Ola, has ordered an investigation into fraud allegations against the company's head HR and administration, named Yugantar Saikia, who was allegedly involved in flavouring select recruitment vendors and in return recieving money estimated to be worth millions of dollars, according to a Factordaily report.

Siakia was hired to head human resource for Ola in January 2015, and also given the charge of Chief administrative officer within few months.

He was serving his notice period and was expected to leave the company by end of the March, however during the last week, his laptop was siezed and was asked to not to report to work anymore.

Sources at the company estimated that the investigation has been underway since early January.

Prior to Ola, Siakia was a Senior director at Silicon Valley, headquatered analytics software company FICO and also worked at American Express, a few years after receiving an MBA degree from XLRI Jamshedpur.

Ola, which is valued over $4 billion, is backed by some of the world's biggest technology investors like Japan's SoftBank and China's Tencent Corporation.
